Until the legal structure of the ERIC is established (2025), RESILIENCE puts in place an interim governance and organisational model with roles, competences, responsibilities and extent of powers agreed-upon by the partners. The interim structure resembles the structure of the later ERIC.
RESILIENCE is currently in its Preparatory Phase (2022-2026) and will put in place its governance bodies for this phase step by step.
The General Assembly is composed of representatives of the partners of the consortium. It is the ultimate decision-making body deciding on strategic issues such as membership and the overall budget. The role is therefore similar to the later ERIC Assembly.
The Board of Executive Directors consists of a general director and two deputy directors:
Left to right: Francesca Cadeddu, Roxanne Wyns, and Ahmet Alibasic
Francesca Cadeddu (General Director), researcher in Contemporary History at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia since 2020 and affiliated researcher at FSCIRE, the leading RESILIENCE institution, since 2011. She works on religious diversity and religious illiteracy in Europe, and in the past seven years she contributed to the establishment of RESILIENCE and the European Academy of Religion.
Roxanne Wyns (Deputy Director) is innovation manager at LIBIS and specializes in large digital research infrastructure projects in Social Sciences and Humanities. She has a special interest in semantic interoperability and FAIR and trusted data infrastructures.
Ahmet Alibasic (Deputy Director) is an associate professor and deputy Dean for academic affairs at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, University of Sarajevo, teaching Islamic civilization courses. He is one of the editors of the Yearbook of Muslims in Europe (Brill, 2009-2022).
