European Melanchthon Academy in Bretten joined RESILIENCE as an associated partner, thereby once again expanding the number of partners in Germany.
The European Melanchthon Academy is the place for academic research with scholarship programmes and symposia with international participation, focusing on the Bretten-born Reformer Philipp Melanchthon (1497-156) and the early modern period. Exhibitions and educational museum concepts in the field of multimedia are developed as educational programmes for a broader public.
The Melanchthonhaus library contains around 13,000 media units. A large part of the library is the historical collection with over four thousand prints from and about the Reformation period. There are 2,200 prints from the 16th century alone, half of which are Melanchthon prints.
Opportunities for cooperation in current and future phases of the RESILIENCE research infrastructure are being explored.
