#Voices: What Would You Expect from a European Research Infrastructure for Religious Studies?

07 November 2023

In our new series "Voices" we ask people to reflect on questions related to our work building a research infrastructure for Religious Studies. Here you can listen to voices on the Ninth International Colloquium on Old Bulgarian Studies which was held at the end of August in University of Sofia, Bulgaria.

Mark Geller (University College of London): “I think that we have in Europe a lot of centres for Religious Studies. But the very important problem today is to create a link between these different centres. Without doing this I think this centres will remain something maybe linked only to the national culture or local culture. We need to find a European and international link to better understand the development of religion and different church traditions in a more wide dimension.”

More answers to the question “What would you expect from a European research infrastructure for Religious Studies?” are given by Marcello Garzaniti (University of Florence) and Francesco Braschi (Ambrosian Library) in this video:

The Ninth International Colloquium on Old Bulgarian Studies (August 31-September 2, 2023) was organized by RESILIENCE Consortium Partner University of Sofia and attended by 20 scholars from all over the world from the research fields as Old Bulgarian Studies, Theology, Philology etc.
